GOOD SHEPHERD

"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep."   –John 10:11

We made this sign out of a beautiful piece of beadboard left over from Chewie's kitchen.  I chose shades of green and blue reminiscent of green pastures and cool waters. I pulled apart natural fiber rope and tacked it in place with galvanized steel nails to form "Shepherd". The letters for "GOOD" were, like many aspects of this project, an accident that we liked. I used small finishing nails to shape the outline of the letters, then wound jute twin around each nail to create the finished outline.

As a final touch, we wired on an old livestock crook.
